Yesterday we visited the new hotspot in Amsterdam: Happyhappyjoyjoy and it was so much fun!
Happyhappyjoyjoy is the new restaurant of Julius Jaspers (a well-known Dutch celebrity chef) and is inspired by the typical Asian local markets and busy streets he encountered during his trips to the far east. The atmosphere is sizzling & joyful and the food is amazing! The kids loved it too. They were mesmerized by all the colors and umbrella’s and thought it was so cool watching the chef’s at work in the open kitchen.
The small dishes are made to share so you end up with a little Asian-flavours-party on your table. Our favourites: Bun Cha Meatballs, Dim Sum, Baos Pork belly, the Wooly lamb and Julius’s Fried Rice. As dessert the kids had the Banana Fritters which was heavenly (I stole some of it, sorry kids ;-). We left Happyhappyjoyjoy with a big smile on our face and full happy bellies!
Happyhappyjoyjoy will be open for lunch, drinks and dinner. For more info & reservations go to happyhappyjoyjoy.asia/nl/
